Dorothy’s Story

Dorothy has always had a passion for knitting. As a little girl, she would spend hours watching her grandmother work the needles with grace—mesmerized by how a simple thread could turn into warmth, comfort, and lasting memories. Her entire life, Dorothy dreamed of having her own little shop—a cozy space filled with color, texture, and handmade creations.

It wasn’t until she retired, just over 10 years ago, that she finally made that dream come true. She turned a small corner studio into a haven of yarn and love: “Dorothy’s Knits.” Every piece was hand-knitted with care, each one carrying the soul of a woman finally doing what she truly loved.

But today, it’s with a heavy heart that Dorothy must share some difficult news. After more than a decade of pouring her heart into every stitch, laughing with loyal customers, and sharing her love for all things handmade… she simply doesn’t have the strength to continue.

Big online stores, impossible-to-match prices, and most of all, the illness that’s been slowly draining her energy—Dorothy is fighting every day, but running her little shop has become too much.
